In the first part of my dream, I had a load of people in the house and I was making miso soup for them. The miso soup came with some bits to put in the soup, but when I cut one of them in half I realised they were actually sweets and decided to leave them out.

I had some shitake mushrooms that I wanted to add to the soup, so I put them on a chopping board and tried to cut them up into thin strips. When I tried to pull them apart I realised that the knife couldn't cut all of the way through them and they were all stuck together and really tough. By this point my soup was bubbling away and I was getting stressed because nothing was working.

In the second part of my dream I was running a race, like a 10k or something. There were loads of us running, and no one was taking it that seriously. For some reason I got told off for talking to people and they made me start again from the beginning.

This time I ran really fast, past all of the people that were taking it easy, and eventually caught up with the more serious racers at the front of the group. As I was near the front I decided to go for it, and in the end I finished in 10th place.

After the race they made the first batch of people who finished sit down on the grass in the order that they finished the race. I looked up and Ray (Yu Lee's brother in law) was 5th. I remember thinking I did pretty well to finish nearly as fast as he did.

I only remember a few bits and pieces from this dream.

In one part of my dream, we were at a house party. I think it was Mike's house (Mike is from my school) because I seem to remember his mum telling me not to turn the heating up. Mike wasn't in the dream however.

I remember that it was the evening and everyone was starting to go to sleep. There were people laying around everywhere, either sleeping or talking quietly, and it was getting really hot so I turned the temperature down on the thermostat.

A while later, the heating was making weird noises. I moved close to an air vent and there was cold air coming out of it. I realised that there were two heating systems in the house, and one of them was heating the air while the other one was cooling it.

I turned off the heating and the noise stopped.

The other bits of the dream that I remember were extremely vague and I don't remember the order of them. The theme of the dream was still a party, but this time it was in a hall instead of someone's house and there were a lot of people there.

At one point, I was walking around with Yu Lee and she realised she hadn't taken her antihistamine. There was a long queue of people queuing up for something, and she walked up and joined the queue near the front. I told her she shouldn't push in, but she said it was ok as she was only getting her antihistamine.

In another part of the dream, I arrived at a table where Yu Lee and her sister were sitting. When I got there Yu Lee said that they'd made a special cake for me, and that it was made out of truffles (the chocolate kind, not the mushroom). I told them that I wasn't going to eat cake on an empty stomach, and that I needed to eat my dinner first, which made them look a bit disappointed.

I was sitting with my dad and two other people, probably Yu Lee and Sue. We were out somewhere (in England) having something to eat. I got the feeling that we'd finished eating, and had to go somewhere else for some reason, possibly to see a show. We were going to have another drink before we left.

Me and Dad ordered a pint each and the others didn't order anything. We definitely both had our drinks but then there was a problem with them so Dad ended up tipping them away.

We went to pay the bill but everyone had gone home. We looked on the board and it was 5 minutes after opening, and Dad said something like "That's why they were in such a rush." Dad then went over to the till, opened it and paid the bill, and said "¡Gracias!" as he put the money in the till.

The other thing I vaguely remember was right at the end of the dream and was something about my shoes. Someone said that my shoes were nice, and then started to say "Do you remember when we first met?" and said that it was something to do with my shoes.

The first part of my dream takes place in some kind of building, like a school or an office. All of the people there are from my school, but we are adults. There are a series of activities that we have to do, each one in a different location, like a different room or outside.

For the first few activities we'd broken up into groups and sat with our friends each time, but on arriving at the last activity the lady in charge told us not to sit in the same groups each time, so we all sat together in one big group. I don't remember anything about the actual activities we were doing though.

The second part of my dream takes place at Mike's house.

We arrive outside his house, and the first task is to get inside. As I come up to the front door, there is a weird tiled staircase / ramp leading up to his front door. The trouble is that the steps start at about chest height, and everything below chest height is a tiled slope with a very steep gradient, probably around 65 degrees! The tiles are polished and very smooth, and I'm not sure that I'll be able to climb them.

In my dream, I can remember doing this as a kid. I would put my foot on the tiled slope and launch myself up it, and the treads on my shoes would somehow have enough traction for me to push up onto the steps. I remember thinking that although the tiles were smooth and glossy, that my shoes could get some grip on the gaps in between them.

Anyway, back in the current day (in my dream) I look at the weird slope and feel that I don't have the confidence to launch myself up it, so I ask Mike if there is another way up. He points to the space next to the slope, and there is an old looking tiled staircase that reaches half way up to the level of the door, but he tells me they haven't used it in years and that it might not work.

I start to climb the staircase, but in doing so it becomes clear that the concrete underneath the tiles is no longer there, and I slowly begin to sink downwards as the tiles give way under my weight. I pretty much just stand there and sink slowly into the ground, until in the end I'm in a pit which is as deep as I am tall.

I can't remember how I get out of the pit but I remember it is a bit of an ordeal.

After that I compose myself and am feeling nervous for some reason. He gives me something to stand on, and I go back down in the pit, and this time somehow manage to reach his front door.

Upon entering his house I notice how nicely decorated everything is, which isn't exactly the way I remember his house in real life! He tells me to poke my head around the kitchen door and say hello to his dad, so I do this. His dad is sitting in the kitchen and is much younger that in real life. I say "do you remember me?" and he replies "Of course I do, Steve."

We chat for a minute and I go back into the living room, and he calls after me "if you want some crisps I'm afraid you'll have to help yourself."

The other main thing I remember is Mike showing me some music he's composed using Fruity Loops. He shows me his songs and we talk a bit about how he made them. He tells me that he set up a microphone controller so that he can blow into the mic to do pitch bends. I tell him that I used to do a simple version of this with my music, and that as I was only doing dance music, I used to set it to bend the pitch upwards when I blew into the microphone, as upwards pitch bends are commonly used to do fills in dance music. (This is all complete bollocks and I never did this in real life.)

At some point in the dream there is a scene of a prison break. I have no idea of how this relates to the main narrative, and to be honest I may not have actually dreamt this part, but I had a memory of it during the rest of my dream.

The rest of the dream is about me and Yu Lee in a survival situation. There is a large area that is infested with zombies, and we are hiding out in a derelict house. The problem is that we have run out of supplies, and everything that we need is in the zombie infected area. I don't remember actually seeing any zombies, but we knew they were there.

From time to time Yu Lee decides that she needs to run off and get some supplies. One thing that she keeps doing is going to get the password for something, and I'm annoyed because I remember the password, but she just quickly runs off before I can say anything.

Each time that she goes I feel very scared and alone, and I'm really worried for her. I repeat over and over in my head "please come back" the whole time that she is gone.

At some point a little later in the dream, we need to go into the zombie area and get some kind of chord, and bring it back to the house. It's like an electricity cable that we need to plug in to give power to the ruins. Yu Lee returns with the chord, but the problem is that it's connected to something far from the house where the zombies are. I tell her the zombies could easily follow the chord back to us and find us.

I grab hold of the chord and give it a gentle tug. I tell Yu Lee that I can feel by the resistance on it that a zombie is holding onto it and that it's only a matter of time before they find us!

For some reason, Yu Lee decides that we need to cook some peas. She hands me a bag of frozen peas and a saucepan, and then says she's going back into the zombie area to get some water. I tell her that I don't need water to cook the peas but she's gone already.

I turn to the stove, and it is an electric stove with metal heating elements for each ring. Some of the heating elements are missing entirely, and the one I want to use is intact, but the middle section is missing, meaning there is a hole in the centre which is just bigger than the base of the pan.

I'm trying to work out how to cook the peas on the strange, broken hob when Yu Lee appears outside in the distance, looking distressed and running away from something. I look behind her in the distance and sure enough there is a figure running in her direction.

Yu Lee hides behind some rocks, but the figure advances and I can't tell if he's seen her or not. Then more figures appear and there is a group of them. I start to think that they are not moving like zombies, and Yu Lee seems to notice something at the same time. All of a sudden she stands up a beckons for me to come to her.

The group of zombies get closer, and now I can see that they are not zombies at all. I suddenly realise that they are escaped prisoners running away from jail, and I realise that Yu Lee has decided to run away with the prisoners. It looks like we have an escape plan!

At this point I woke up in my bed at 2:00am.

I dreamt that I was at Lucía's house (Lucía is my Spanish neighbour from my old house), but Lucía wasn't there. I was in her kitchen with her youngest daughter, Victoria, who is still a baby.

Victoria is playing, and keeps going to the kitchen and trying to play with the utensils. I'm worried that she is going to hurt herself so I keep telling her not to (in Spanish), but it's having no effect and it seems that the more dangerous something is the more she wants to play with it.

I bring in a bag and put all of the utensils in it, and put some of her toys on the work surface, and tell her that she has to play with her toys and I am not going to let her play with the kitchen utensils. She gets angry, and starts being even more naughty and playing with the things I can't put away like the cooker and taps.

After a while I try to reason with her and give her some of the utensils back if she'll behave herself, but by this time she is sulking and not listening to me at all.

I dreamt that we were in a garden somewhere. There seemed to be a mix of mine and Yu Lee's families there.

When we were in the garden, I heard someone talking about the divorce. I asked who was getting divorced and they said "Shaolin and Ray - they've been trying to do it for a couple of years."

The main thing I remember thinking was that it was weird because they still seemed to be very much together and spent time together. The conversation went on to suggest that they were actually still happy but there was some other kind of reason that they were doing it. It didn't make much sense.

I was in the garden talking to Ray's dad, who was totally different to real life and seemed a bit like Mr. Miyagi from Karate Kid. We were chatting for a while and he was talking about how he wanted to go an stay at Shaolin and Ray's holiday home in Spain (which doesn't exist in real life).

I told him that I had to go inside to talk to my dad, and he got up and came in too. He said dinner was ready and Yu Lee came inside to eat as well.

When we got inside I asked Yu Lee what was for dinner and she told me, and she named some weird Chinese thing. I told her that it sounded spicy, and if it was too spicy she shouldn't eat it.

We were at the table at this point waiting to eat, and I said "You know you always try to eat food that is too spicy for you because you don't want to say anything. You know it hurts your stomach and makes you feel sick, so if you don't say something I'm going to come over there and throw it off your plate and onto the floor!"

As I said that I made a karate chop gesture.

I don't remember a great deal of detail of this dream, but I'm pretty sure that my little brother and his friends had accidentally killed someone, and I helped them dispose of the body. They were panicking, but I helped them cut the body up into pieces and put it in air tight containers, inside plastic bags, and I'm pretty sure I hid it in Cambridge Science Park.

The other part of my dream that I remember is talking to them and saying "If I have to move out of my house I will buy my own house in Maidenhead." I don't remember the context of this at all.

This dream took place in a mixture of work and school. There were some people that I went to school with, and people from Jagex where I worked years ago.

The first part that I properly remember was being outside with a big group of people. We were all walking somewhere, and the Italian girl that worked at Jagex (who I saw in real life a couple of days ago and said hello to me) was pushing a pram. She kept budging people out of the way and trying to squeeze past them.

I turned to the person next to me and said this was about the fourth time today that I'd seen her budging past people, and that I didn't understand why she didn't just ask them to move. Then I shouted "Excuse me guys" to the people that were in her way, and they all moved out of the way for her and she thanked me.

Later we were near our destination, and this time there were a lot less people. I was with my friend Brad from school. Some other people that I didn't know started to approach us and were intimidating us. The main person doing this had short hair and a white t-shirt, and I had the feeling that he was quite hard.

After a short while he got closer to us, and I turned to Brad who just said "run". We started to run and the guy who was following us was right behind me now, and I think he tried to kick me but one of my Jagex friends blocked the kick with his foot (I think it was Mark S and I think he was wearing leather sandals).

We continued to run, and the guy in the white t-shirt got a bit close again so I pulled a tape measure out of my pocket and threw it at his head which made him stumble and bought me some more time. He approached again, and swung for me again, and Mark blocked it again.

After this we made it to the building and they ran off.

Fragments

I also remember a couple of fragments:

• I remember being in a meeting room and humming the guitar part for "The Four Horsemen" by Metallica.
• I remember something to do with a new nintendo console that came in multiple parts, and was like a weird arcade machine with loads of accessories.

I don't remember a huge amount of detail about this dream.

Me and Yu Lee were in a shop, and I wanted to buy a single rectangular label to stick on something. I asked one of the girls that worked there if they had any but they didn't. I told her that I really needed one and in the end she said she would go out the back and look for one, and she might have one I could have for free.

In the meantime, Yu Lee was talking to another sales assistant, looking for something else, and she couldn't find it either. When I told her that the girl I was talking to was going to find me something out the back, she asked the sales assistant she was talking to if she could find something, and she also agreed.

A while later I had my label and Yu Lee had whatever she was looking for, and we were about to leave. I said to Yu Lee that I was going to thank the girl that helped me, and Yu Lee said she would do the same to the girl that helped her. I was annoyed that every time I did something Yu Lee seemed to copy me.
