I am in the garden with one of the boys (I don't remember if it was Link or Rain). He is sitting on the edge of the deck, and suddenly a pheasant comes into the garden and lands behind him. Me and Yu Lee say "look" and try to get him to look without frightening it away.

He looks around and the pheasant walks past him and stands right in front of him, and then obviously he sees it. After that a couple more pheasants land in the garden.

A while later, some other things happen, but I do not remember what they are now. Later I find myself talking to Link (or Rain), saying, "These are the reasons that I know we were dreaming." One of the reasons is the pheasants. There were two other things that I pointed out to him too, but they have completely gone from my memory now.

The first part of the dream:

I have some kind of a weird computer. It's a new build computer but with a weird retro aesthetic. We actually had two of them in our house and we had Mum, Richard and Bob over and we were showing them.

One of the weird things about the computers is the keyboard: some of the keys had this kind of weird split key where one part of the key did "key down" and the other part of the key did "key up," so you had to kind of slide your finger across to make the key go back up. Also, some of these keys stood quite tall off of the keyboard, so while there were normal keys in the rest of the keyboard, these stood about 5 cm tall, or maybe bigger, and were also a blue colour where the rest of the keys were light grey. I have no idea how you would actually use this thing.

One of the pieces of software that we were showing them was a rogue-like with text mode graphics, like Nethack. We showed them for a while and while, I was doing this Link was messing around and pressing the cursor keys, and it was really annoying me and I had to tell him off.

A little while later, we switched to a new scene, and this time we're at our house and we're going to have some kind of party for the kids or maybe a playdate. There were a couple of kids coming from the same family. After a little while, they start to show up. First, this little kid shows up, and we're just talking to them. Then, a little while later, her big sister shows up who's about 18 years old.​

When they came, they brought a little tray of snacks. It had like four miniature breadsticks dipped in chocolate, and I put it on the table and jokingly said, "Dinner is served."

We're chatting to them, and it turns out that this is their normal family structure. The big sister says "my mum goes and looks after other people's kids and we barely see her, and I look after our kids".

I'm at some kind of work event, but it's also somehow in my house; it doesn't make a whole lot of sense. I have to give some kind of concert and I'm singing and playing the guitar in front of everyone. I do a couple of songs and then I decide I'm going to do "Black" by Pearl Jam.

First of all, I have to retune my guitar for some reason, and I take absolutely ages doing it. I didn't have a tuner and I was trying to figure it out by ear, and it was very difficult. Eventually, I got the guitar tuned, and the crowd were getting really restless and waiting for me to start singing.

I start to play guitar on my classical guitar, and it's just really quiet. I start thinking, "Why am I playing this on my classical guitar anyway?" I tell everyone, "Hold on a second," and I put my guitar down. I walk over to the dining room wall and take my steel-string acoustic guitar off of the wall and I take it back and I start to sing.

As I picked up the guitar, people in the crowd were making comments like, "Oh look at you, so fancy with your two guitars." After I've got back, I start to sing and I sing the first verse of "Black," then I wake up.

I dreamt that me and Yu Lee went to Spain to visit Dad and Sue. We were only there for 1 night and had planned to go out for dinner. In the dream, Dad was still ill but at home.

When we got there Dad had a visitor, a man I'd never seen before, and they were sitting together discussing something. It was time to go to the restaurant to eat and we were going to be late for our reservation, so Dad said we should go right away and he would meet us there soon.

We got to the restaurant and had a drink while we were waiting. We were just sitting and chatting when Sue's phone rang and it was Dad. He told her that he wasn't feeling up to going out and was going to bed.

I felt really disappointed because we'd come all of this way and wouldn't get to see him.

I dreamt that I was in a hospital for some reason. In my dream Stefan had 3 young girls (none of which was Alana) and they were here at the hospital while he was working. The same Pakistani guy from my last dream was looking after them in the room next door to me.

I don't remember much from the first part of the dream, but something happened and suddenly his girls were outside in the corridor, crying. I asked them what had happened and they said that the guy who was looking after them had hit them.

I asked a nearby nurse if they knew Stefan and where he worked and they told me that he was the "Assistant Bin Technician" and pointed me to where he would be. I told the girls to wait there in the corridor and I would be back shortly.

I managed to find Stefan and he was wearing green scrubs, like he was about to go into surgery. I told him that the guy who was looking after his girls had been beating them, and he told me he knew but he didn't have any other option because he needed to work. I managed to convince him that this was serious and we headed off to find the guy, but then my alarm went off and the dream ended.

I dreamt I was in Spain, walking home from somewhere with another man. He suggested that we should take a shortcut so we jumped over a fence and started walking through some kind of business premises. We soon realised that we had gone the wrong way and couldn't find a way out the other side.

We heard people nearby and started to panic, and eventually some men caught us. My friend seemed very worried and I remember thinking that we're not in the UK anymore and we were likely to be in a lot more trouble.

They took us inside and started talking to us and my friend looked like he had given up hope of getting out of this situation. I started walking out an exit on the other side of the room into a small courtyard and a man followed me. I spoke to him for a while and suddenly his demeanour changed and he basically let me go. I though this was very suspicious and checked my pockets to discover that my wallet and passport were gone!

I went back inside and the man was nowhere to be seen, but another guy was in the room holding my wallet and looking through it. The first guy who cornered me outside was a bald white guy in a black puffer jacket, but this guy was a Muslim guy with a beard wearing a tracksuit.

I asked him for my wallet back and he said no. I told him to take the money but please give back my passport and my wallet. He handed me my passport but kept hold of my wallet. I tried to persuade him to give my cards back, and told him that as soon as I left I would obviously cancel all of my cards so they would be of no use to him. My friend was trying to get me to just leave.

I dreamt I was on a ship, sailing somewhere far away, with a large group of people. First we could see nothing but sea, but eventually the coastline came into view. There was no vegetation at all, just bare, rocky, mountainous terrain.

As we approached our destination, buildings started to appear on the coastline, but they were unlike anything I'd ever seen. The building were made out of concrete and had very few windows, and had a very utilitarian, brutalist look about them. They were completely covering the coastline and were very large, all connected together like one giant structure. The whole thing had a very futuristic look about it, like an entire city was contained in a single large building.

We arrived at the place where we would dock - there was a small, very low entrance into the buildings, with the buildings spanning across the entrance. It was so low that we all had to go below deck so that we didn't hit the building as the ship passed underneath.

When we were inside and off of the ship, our group gathered and we made our way to an elevator. There was a discussion about what floor we needed to go to and no one seemed to actually know where we were going. I'm not quite sure what happened but somehow everyone ended up in the lift and I was left outside. When the lift went up I could somehow sense where it was and could see that it stopped on the 15th floor, despite the fact that there was a rocky wall in the way.

After the lift came back down I stepped inside and there seemed to be hundreds of floors on the control panel. I rode it to the 15th floor and stepped outside into a large, very open corridor, that reminded me of a modern shopping centre. Most of the group had dispersed but one of my companions, a woman about the same age as me, was waiting for me at the exit.

We walked together for a while, possibly trying to find the others but I'm not really sure what we were doing. We were talking as we made our way through the complex. We stopped outside a doorway and she grabbed my hand and pulled me in towards her and kissed me. I remember thinking that her lips were wet and warmer than I expected. We kissed for a while and then she held me close to her and said "I love you."

I paused for a moment thinking about how I felt, and said "I love you too."

I dreamt that we left Rain in nursery, but when we went to collect him the teachers couldn't find him. We frantically searched each of the classrooms and asked all of the staff where he was, but no-one could remember where he went. I felt panicked and woke up with my heart racing.

In this dream I was younger than I am now, probably in my twenties. I was seeing a girl and in the dream I was meeting her family for the first time.

I don't remember meeting her parents at all, but she had sisters who were a bit crazy. She was shy and geeky but her sisters were the exact opposite. At one point I went outside to do something and her 15 year old sister decided to steal her mum's car and go for a drive! I somehow managed to talk her into stopping and getting out of the car and de-escalated the situation.

I felt like the whole day was intense and kind of stressful, but that I was managing ok and they seemed to like me so everything was good.

Later we were inside watching TV with her family. I was sitting on a very deep arm chair, and kind of slouching in my chair, and she was sitting on my lap, almost laying back on me. I had my hands out in front of me and she was gently stroking the palms of my hands with her fingers. It was really subtle, but it felt amazing to sit there with her. I suddenly felt this intense feeling of endorphins being released, like the most intense feeling of falling in love. It was absolutely overwhelming and caused me to wake up.

The whole dream felt really intense, and the feelings I experienced at the end of dream felt wonderful. In the dream I felt free, with no obligations, like I was doing exactly what I wanted and that there were no expectations of me at all. I laid in bed for about 20 minutes afterwards, coming back down to reality.
