176 | 25/10/12 16:53 to 25/10/12 19:01 | 2:08 | I slept well | This was quite a frustrating nap. When I got in from work I was pretty tired, so I went to bed at about 4:30 and fell asleep instantly. The problem is that the school out the back of my house was obviously having some kind of event, and everyone came out very loudly which woke me up. When I looked at the clock only 8 minutes had passed since I laid down, so I'm guessing I was only asleep for 2 or 3 minutes. As it was noisy I decided to put my ear plugs in and reset the timer. I also changed the alarm time from 6:30 to 7:00. When I had finally nodded off again, it must have been about 5:30 because I woke up very soon afterwards when my girlfriend came home. I didn't bother restarting the timer this time as I think I had been dozing for about 10 - 15 minutes, but again it took me a while to fall asleep, I would guess about 15 more minutes. Eventually I did get some undisturbed sleep until Yu Lee came in at about 2 minutes to 7, asking if I was going to get up and make dinner! I didn't mind though and I felt like I had woken from a nice sleep. Overall I laid in bed for 2.5 hours but I think I only really slept for 1.5 hours of it. |

I got in from work and was tired, maybe because I went to the pub at lunch time for a beer and an enormous burger! I went to bed and fell straight to sleep, but about 5 minutes later Yu Lee came in which woke me up. I fell asleep again soon afterwards and slept for a total of 2.5 hours. Even with all of this sleep I still feel quite sleepy tonight! |

I wasn't really that tired, and it took me at least half an hour to fall asleep, but I'm pretty sure I got there in the end. I didn't really feel like I'd been properly asleep afterwards, although I know I must have slept as it no way felt anything like laying there for 2 hours. I did feel nice and relaxed though, and I felt rested afterwards. |

Then I laid there for a few minutes and the next thing I knew I had dozed off and it was now 6:05. I'm starting to get a bit frustrated that I am finding it hard to get up, and it almost feels like I am slipping back into my monophasic bad habit of snoozing the alarm. Hopefully this is something that I can stop doing, but my willpower is not always so strong at that time of the morning. |

I didn't feel like I would fall asleep quickly as my mind was still quite active, but I think I must have fallen asleep in about 10 minutes or so. I woke up when Yu Lee came home at about 5:45, and properly woke up 10 minutes later when she got in bed with me to nap too, so we both got up. This was a bit of a short nap and I felt like I could have done with a bit more sleep. |

I went to bed at about 12:40 with Yu Lee, but we were talking for at least 15 minutes before we settled down to sleep. I'm pretty sure that I looked at the clock at one point and it said 1:30 which was 25 minutes after my recorded sleep time. This morning I was tired so I turned off the alarm, and set a different alarm to go off at 5:55. For some reason I only snoozed my vibrating alarm though, so it went off again about 10 minutes later. Once again I tried to turn it off but snoozed it, and after the second time I decided to get up and have a shower. The weird thing is I really couldn't figure out how to turn the bloody alarm clock off! |

I thought I wouldn't sleep so well for it as I didn't fall asleep very quickly last night, but I drifted off into a nice deep sleep and when the alarm went off I thought it was morning and didn't want to get up! I had put a chicken in the oven on the timer before going to sleep, and I only had an hour left to cook the potatoes which motivated me to get up. |

We were out looking at bathroom stuff in homebase at about 3:00 and I suddenly felt like I could just lay down there and sleep. When I got home I sat at the computer for 20 minutes and then went to bed, and I drifted off to sleep straight away. I woke up naturally 2 hours later and to be honest I wasn't even sure if I'd been to sleep until I looked at the clock! I felt better afterwards though, and tonight I will go to bed around 12:30am. |

I think I have been going to bed a little bit too late each day, as although I have been in bed by 1:00am most nights, I have not fallen asleep immediately. I also only slept for 1 hour for my nap yesterday which may have contributed to my tiredness. This morning when I woke up I still felt really sleepy, so I simply switched the alarm off and went back to sleep. I woke up 2 hours later at 7:30, and felt like I had been asleep for ages! It felt like when I used to sleep in until noon on my old sleeping pattern: I was thirsty (and I hadn't had any alcohol the previous night), drowsy and I had a headache. |

Just as I was dozing off I thought I heard a weird noise which kind of sounded like a knock at the door - this woke me up and then it took a little longer to fall back to sleep. Getting up this morning was a little easier than the previous days, but I did feel a little bit tired afterwards. I also felt slightly hungover, which may be because I had a beer at 11:00 the night before (although I drank plenty of water afterwards). |

As soon as I got in bed my neighbour started doing some diy - he was banging and using a drill. I put my earplugs in but could still hear the noise. It didn't stop me sleeping though and I think I fell asleep about 5 minutes later and had a pretty good nap. I woke up naturally after about 1:45. |

It was the first night for quite a while where I really felt like I could have stayed up a lot longer just relaxing and browsing the web. I went to bed at about 1:05am, but then Yu Lee (who had fallen asleep at 10:00pm) decided she needed to get up and clean her teeth so in the end I didn't fall asleep until nearly 1:30. This morning I did not want to get up, and I had really bad sleep inertia so I set an alarm for 20 minutes and went back to bed. |
