As I didn't manage to sleep for my nap yesterday I was really tired in the evening, so in the end I went to bed just after 9:30pm.

I fell asleep in about 5-10 minutes, and initially woke up early this morning just after 3am. I went back to sleep and drifted in and out a couple of times and eventually got up at 4:12am. I had set my alarm for 4:30.

I'm not 100% sure if I've had enough sleep to make it through the day! Hopefully I won't find it too hard to stay awake in class and will be able to nap when I get home.

After trying hard not to sleep all day on my course, when I finally got the chance to sleep I couldn't! I rested for about an hour and then got up.

I very nearly fell asleep at one point but not quite! It's probably because I slept so much yesterday...

Last night I started to feel a bit sleepy around 10:00pm, even though I'd only been awake for a couple of hours!

I went to bed at 10:15 and set my alarm for 4:30. I think it probably took me about 10 minutes to fall asleep and I actually woke up naturally at 4:03am and recorded the end of my sleep. After that I laid in bed for a while and the next thing I knew it was 4:30 and my alarm was going off.

Today I was in a course in central London, and it was so boring! I found it a real struggle to stay awake despite the fact that I've had a bit of extra sleep the past couple of days.

My course finished at 4:30pm and by the time I'd got back to Yu Lee's mum's house it was about 5:15. I went straight to bed to sleep but I wasn't quite so tired by this time. I logged the first 16 minutes as 'did not sleep' and I think it probably took me another 5 minutes to fall asleep, but once I drifted off I had a nice long, deep sleep with at least one dream (which I don't remember now).

When I woke up I had a pretty much perfect cup of tea and then some really tasty Chinese style stewed pork with rice!

Last night I started to feel tired around 9:30 which was surprising because I'd had such a long nap. I stayed up until 10:30 and when I did go to bed I fell asleep very quickly.

I remember waking up from a dream around midnight but I don't remember the dream any more. I got back to sleep easily and slept through until my alarm at 4:30.

When my alarm went off I still felt quite tired. I thought I would probably wake up naturally around 4:00 but I felt like I could have slept longer. I hope I don't feel too sleepy during my course today!

This week I have a course in London so I am going to be staying with Yu Lee's mum from today until Thursday.

We arrived in London this morning and went to Wood Green to get food, and afterwards I ate and went for my nap. I felt a bit tied but I wasn't sure if I would sleep easily as I normally don't sleep quite as well when I am away from home (although if I am away Yu Lee's mum's house is probably the best place to nap!), but in the end I fell asleep in about 5 minutes and slept for quite a long time!

When I woke up I thought I'd only been asleep for a short while so I was surprised when I looked at the clock and saw how late it was. I woke from a dream and felt super refreshed. I'm not sure if I will be able to nap this week as I will be getting home late...

Last night I began to feel a little sleepy around 9pm, and by 10:30 I was definitely ready for sleep. I went to bed and fell asleep easily and quickly, and slept through solidly until 4:10am this morning when I woke up naturally from a dream.

It looks like my random sleep yesterday hasn't affected my sleeping pattern too much!

I think this morning I made a bit of a mistake in setting my alarm so early. Splitting my sleep up into multiple chunks would probably result in needing less overall sleep if I were used to it, but as I am not it resulted in me feeling very tired.

After I got up this morning I really struggled to stay awake for the first hour or so but after that I pretty much just watched youtube videos (of TED talks) and then went for a bath. When I got out of the bath I decided it was nap time already, even though it was only 9:15 and went to bed.

I fell asleep in about 5 - 10 minutes and then I drifted off into a nice deep sleep with lots of dreams (although I only remember vague fragments now). I woke up several times, and just after I finally woke up Yu Lee came in and got in bed with me so we laid there for about another 40 minutes.

Now I feel great! Well worth it!

I went back to bed just after 2am, and I think it took me between 10 and 20 minutes to fall back to sleep. At 4:00am I woke up from a lucid dream and to be honest I could have easily got up but I decided to go back to sleep (without writing down my dream), and after that I slept through until my alarm at 4:30am. I must have snoozed my alarm and fallen back to sleep because I finally woke up again about 10 minutes later when the alarm went off again.

After dinner I felt a bit tired, and in the end I decided to just give up and go to bed! I fell asleep in about 10 minutes, but then I woke straight back up again (I have no idea why). After that I laid in bed until about 8:00pm before falling back to sleep.

I woke up naturally at around 11:30pm. It's funny because this used to be my bed time! I am planning on going back to sleep again some for an hour or two at some point during the morning.

Today I have a late meeting at work so I arranged to have a 2 hour lunch break and came home for a nap at lunch time. Every other day this week I have been knackered at this time but today I wasn't so tired which is strange considering how early I got up today.

It took me about 15 minutes to fall asleep and I don't feel that my sleep was particularly deep, but I think I slept for around 40 minutes before I woke up naturally. This wasn't the best nap in the world but it was nice to have a break in the middle of the day and I would definitely be up for trying it again in the future. The only bad thing is that I have to go back to work now!

Edit: This nap was useless! I was tired after work.

Last night I was a bit tired as my nap was interrupted, but I didn't plan on going to bed quite so early. Yu Lee said she was tired at 9:00pm so I went to bed with her and decided that if I didn't fall asleep in 5 minutes I would get back up. I fell asleep pretty quickly so I ended up getting a very early night!

Unsurprisingly I din't sleep through to my alarm and woke up at 2:45am. I'm not sure how this is going to affect my tiredness today but I am not going to let myself get into the habit of waking up at 3am every day!

I feel extremely well rested this morning. I've seen it written a few times that every hour slept before midnight is worth 2 after midnight, and I don't think this is 100% correct but maybe there is some truth in it!

After a short while awake I went back to sleep and once again fell asleep very quickly. This time, for the first time in the past few days, I drifted off into a nice deep sleep.

All of a sudden just after 6:00 I woke up to my phone ringing! It was a number I didn't recognise and this is the third missed call I have had from this number this week. I feel really annoyed at leaving my phone on loud as this was the first good quality nap I've had in the whole week, and also because if I'd have fallen asleep at the usual time it wouldn't even have mattered. How frustrating!

Today I felt moderately tired at work around lunch time as usual. I had a meeting at the end of the day which overran so I was a little late taking my nap, and by this time I wasn't actually feeling that tired any more. As soon as I laid down in my bed I came over sleepy and fell asleep in about 5 minutes.

At 4:45 I suddenly woke up because I was dribbling! I tried to settle back down to sleep but it wasn't coming so in the end I marked my sleep as did not sleep. I'm pretty sure I was literally only just falling asleep when I woke up so I must have been asleep for a minute or two at most.

Last night Yu Lee was tired so she went to bed a little earlier than usual and I decided to go with her. I didn't feel particularly tired but once I got into bed I realised that I would be able to easily fall asleep.

I fell asleep in less than 5 minutes and slept through solidly until about 3:30. I didn't want to get up quite that early so I went back to sleep and then woke up naturally just after 4:00am and decided to get up.

Today at work I only felt slightly tired, and when I came home I still felt a bit tired and fell asleep in about 5 minutes. My nap still felt very light and unsatisfying but I think this might be because I am not used to the noise machine yet.

I woke up just after 5:10, and I waited in bed for about half an hour for Yu Lee to come home before I got up. I may have dozed off for a few minutes in this time but if I did I wasn't asleep for long. Now I feel tired and like I could have slept longer...

I intended to go to bed at about 11:00pm last night, but in the end I got distracted and ended up settling down to sleep at 11:45. By the time I did try to go to sleep I managed to fall asleep pretty quickly.

My sleep was uneventful and I woke up at 4:30am with my alarm. I should have probably set it back to 5:00 because I went to bed later than usual and now I feel a bit tired.

This nap was not entirely satisfying!

Today at work I started to feel sleepy around midday, and by 1:00pm I was feeling very sleepy (although a pint in the pub and a massive burger probably had something to do with it!). Between 1:00 and 2:00 I felt like I could have fallen asleep in seconds if I went for my nap then, but after that I perked up a bit and by home time I wasn't feeling that tired.

When I went home I went through the usual routine and went to bed, and I did sleep but it wasn't the kind of deep refreshing sleep that I am used to. It took me a little while (maybe 10 minutes) to fall asleep, and I felt that it was a very light sleep and I drifted in and out a few times.

After I logged the end of my sleep I laid in bed for 10 minutes until Yu Lee came home, and then she came into the bedroom so we ended up laying in bed until 6:30 when I finally dragged myself out of bed and made a lovely cup of tea.

Last night I was worried that I would have problems sleeping after such a long nap, and even when I got into my bed I wasn't sure if I would sleep or not, but as soon as I settled down I drifted off pretty quickly.

When I was in bed and talking to Yu Lee I actually noticed the low frequency noise that used to keep me awake at nights. For some reason I always seem to hear it when the weather is cold. I thought it was going to bother me and that I would have to turn on my noise machine but in the end it wasn't an issue.

I woke up once in the night but I don't remember what the time was and I got back to sleep again straight away. The next thing I knew it was 4:30am and my alarm was going off.
