I remember having a vivid dream about being at work. The police called me and told me that I needed to speak to one of the managers, and when I found him he showed me a short film about cancer and then told me that his friend was dying of cancer.

This morning I woke up from a dream about saving some kid's pet mouse and rat from a dustbin and having a go at him for throwing away live animals.

At the time I remember thinking that this was quite a long dream, but now I only remember fragments.

It is one of my friend's birthdays and for some reason I have to take him out for beers. We go to the pub and I order a beer and he orders two beers and immediately downs one of them. I tell him that I think we should eat first or we will get really drunk and he seems to want to get drunk quickly.

The only other thing I remember is that I had to leave the pub to do something, and when I was away I realised that I had left my tablet (computer) in the pub. I rushed back thinking that it would probably be stolen but luckily it was still on the table where I left it.

Me and Yu Lee are in the car driving home from somewhere, and the car is playing up. There are loads of problems but the only one I remember is that the left indicator wasn't working.

We arrive at home, but instead of being at my current house we are at York Avenue where I grew up.

Yu Lee struggles to find a space to park and we end up parking on the opposite side of the road to the house. As the car is playing up Yu Lee has some difficulty parking and nearly crashes into a parked car.

As we get out of the car, another car pulls up behind us and Duncan Wang from work gets out and I ask him "What are you doing here, Wang?" and he laughs and tells me he needs help with something. Yu Lee says that she's going inside to call a mechanic to have a look at the car.

Duncan opens the boot of his car and he has 3 or 4 large blue barrels inside. He takes the lid off one of them and tells me it is horse manure, and that he needs help transferring it into some smaller containers. He says "First I'll just move it into here" and grabs one of my neighbour's blue wheely bins and starts shovelling it in.

I tell him that the blue bin is just for bottles and cans and that he shouldn't put it in there and he says not to worry as it's only temporary while he transfers it.

I am not really happy about him using my neighbour's bin so I go to look for some containers to use instead. When I return he has emptied the bin into some small containers.

After that we both work together to transfer the manure into smaller containers using a shovel and a trowel, and even a dessert spoon! The smell is terrible and the decomposing shit looks disgusting, and a few times I nearly vomit and have to stop and look away.

After that I wake up naturally in my bed at 4:45am.

Me and Yu Lee are sitting at our desks which are side by side as in real life, although the room that they are in is not the same. Yu Lee has some white powder on her desk and I ask her what it is and she says it is heroin!

She is doing some kind of experiment with it and dissolves it in water in a beaker, and is measuring some property of it. It looks like she is trying to increase the purity or something and she is recording some data and making graphs.

At some point when she is away from her desk I take it and when she gets back she is very angry with me and we argue and she takes it back.

She is processing some images from her experiment on the computer and trying to crop them. The way that she is doing this is by going to a web page where you upload images and then download a processed version. I tell her that I think it is stupid to be uploading pictures of illegal drugs anywhere because the site will have our IP address and will easily be able to trace them back to us, but she tells me not to worry.

I have no clue where I am, but it is a room similar to a classroom and we are doing some kind of training / workshop. The instructor gives us some glasses, a hat and an assortment of other strange items to put on and I remember it being really uncomfortable. We were originally sitting on a row of chairs at some desks but now we are laying on our backs on the floor. The instructor asks us to close our eyes and pretend to be driving a car so we all lay there on the floor with ridiculous glasses and hats on, with our eyes closed, pretending to drive car, moving our hands and feet as if they were on the steering wheel and pedals!

In a later scene I am at someone else's house, possibly my dad's, and I am in the kitchen making something to eat. There is some left over casserole consisting of a chunk of meat in some sauce. I put it in a pan to heat it up, and I decide to break the piece of meat up with a wooden spatula. Each time I break the pieces of meat in half I am surprised at how big the 2 halves are, and in the end I have a pan full of meat.

I am at work, in a meeting, and Chris Meadows is sitting next to me. I have 3 chocolate croissants with me and I am eating one of them. I realise that I only want to eat 2 of them so I ask Chris if he wants one. He says yes and takes one out of the packet.

Chris asks if anyone else wants any and everyone says yes so Chris breaks off some of his croissant and passes it to someone else. They then break theirs in half and pass that on and before I know it everyone seems to have a couple of pieces of croissant.

Upon waking the first thing I thought was that it was like the feeding of the 5000!

The only other thing that I remember is that in an earlier part of the dream I was at work trying to get my trackball to work with a new computer.

I am on holiday with Yu Lee and 2 boys (I think they were people I knew from school) and we are in Yu Lee's car. We have gone out somewhere for the day and we are now driving back to the hotel.

As we are driving we suddenly pull out onto a road that is high up on the hills, and we have an amazing view of the beach and sea. I comment on the fact that we had never seen this view on the way out in the morning.

We are driving up and down over the hills very close to the sea, and the terrain is getting rougher and rougher. Yesterday in real life I booked a driving lesson and the instructor drives a diesel, and me and Yu Lee were talking about the difference between petrol and diesel cars before bed. In my dream I ask the others which they think is better and they all say petrol.

The terrain is getting ridiculous now and I ask Yu Lee if she is sure we are going the right way. She says "yes" and we continue. All of a sudden we are driving on rocks and I tell her to turn the car around but she assures me it is ok.

Now we are driving on rocks just a few centimetres higher than the water. We come to a place where the only way to progress involves driving through a 2 metre wide section of water, and up a steep sand bank. Yu Lee puts her foot hard on the gas and powers through the water and up the bank, but she can't quite get to the top.

The wheels are spinning beneath the car and it is swerving from side to side. She realises she won't make it and takes her foot off the accelerator and the car rolls backwards down the bank and into the sea. Water starts filling up the car.

I wake up in my bed with a major adrenaline rush!

I am at work sitting at my desk and I look over behind me and some people are stood around Craig's desk. I get up and go over to talk to them when I realise that Craig is stood up and about to speak.

Craig starts a speech about it being his birthday. For some reason he seems to be really nervous. He explains that as it's his birthday he has brought in some green Russian style hats for everyone. I am right at the front of the crowd so I hold out my hand to accept my hat, but he purposefully ignores me and starts handing the hats out to everyone else until there are no more left. At this point I realise that he said he was giving out a hat to each of the testers which is why I didn't get one.

I ask Chris if I can look at his hat and he says yes, so I take it off his head and look at it.

Shortly after this someone says that these hats are multifunctional and also double up as lifts (elevators) and we decide to go and test them out. We walk into another part of the building (a part that doesn't exist in real life) and sure enough there are some lifts there. I get in one and go up but it doesn't line up properly with the rest of the floor. Someone says "What do you expect? They are just cheap hats!"

I only remember 1 fragment of this dream:

I am walking across a football pitch, similar to a school field, and my friends are there playing football. They pass the ball to me and expect me to play.

I run with the ball and easily get past everyone. I am nervous about playing but am surprised how easily I can get the ball past everyone. I kick the ball really slowly and it rolls into the goal.

I look up at my friends and they are all annoyed and then they say "Well done. Why did you just score an own goal?" I feel embarrassed but argue that I didn't ask to play in the first place!
