Sleep 2

00:25 to 05:00

(4:35 hours)

Yesterday afternoon I worked in the garden until Yu Lee came home, then we went for ramen. When we got back we both worked on some client work that I needed to get finished before today so that I can have the next 5 days off.

It was nearly midnight when we finished and we were both really tired. When I got into bed it took me a while to sleep, because despite being tired my brain was really active. It's always difficult for me to sleep without some time to wind down first.

I slept like a rock until my alarm went off this morning. I feel slightly tired now.

Sleep 3

15:36 to 17:40

(2:03 hours)

Today was my leaving lunch at WorldPay, as my manager is not in the office on my last day tomorrow. We went for Japanese food at Wagamama, which was a lot better than I thought it would be.

I had a couple of beers, and in the end I walked home because it was such a nice day. When I got home there wasn't a cloud in the sky so I sat in the garden and had another beer in the sun.

At nap time I fell asleep straight away and set an alarm for about 6:00pm, but I woke up naturally 15 minutes before it was due to go off.

I had a lovely day!

Sleep 4

23:08 to 23:30

(0:22 hours)

I didn't sleep at all

Sleep 5

23:30 to 05:00

(5:30 hours)

Last night it took me a little while to fall asleep, which isn't really surprising as I had my nap so late in the day. Once I got to sleep I slept solidly through the night.

This morning I was dreaming.

Cards

Tags: Yu Lee

This morning I was dreaming about playing a card game with someone. It was a game where you had monsters and spells in your hand, and they had values for attack, defence and had special abilities - a bit like magic the gathering.

The person that was showing us the game said it wasn't that hard and we could pick it up as we went along.

Yu Lee spent ages on her turn because she had quite a few cards and couldn't work out what to do, and I was starting to get impatient. Then on my turn I could only do one thing, but it resulted in me picking up loads of cards, and then I had to choose what to do next.

It took me a few minutes to read through all of the cards, and then I had loads of options and the cards were all really unintuitive, for example I had a creature with really low attack and high defence, and it had some text that described different rules for its attack on the first, second and third turns.

After about 10 minutes, I announced that I wasn't going to play any more, that there were too many options, the cards were too unintuitive and that this was not fun! At that point my alarm went off and I felt frustrated because I didn't get to finish getting my point across!
