In terms of getting to sleep, last night was a disaster!

Last night I had a beer and a whiskey, and I finished them both a couple of hours before bed and drunk plenty of water afterwards. Yu Lee fell asleep around 8:00pm in her chair and went to bed shortly after. I went to bed around 11:00pm which is my normal time at the moment.

To be honest I didn't feel that tired, but I didn't really feel less tired than any other night at the moment. I have no idea why but it took me over 1.5 hours to fall asleep!

When I did get to sleep I slept through until 4:20am when I woke up naturally, but after being awake for a bout 5 minutes I fell back to sleep for 20 minutes until my alarm went off and then I got up.

I feel slightly tired this morning.

Today I took my lunch break a little bit later due to a meeting the dragged on too long!

When I came home I went straight to bed and reset the timer after about 10 minutes. It probably took me a further 5 - 10 minutes to fall asleep. The first half of this sleep was definitely quite light but towards the end I think I drifted into a deeper sleep, and when the alarm went off I was definitely sleeping.

Last night Yu Lee wasn't so tired, so for the first time in ages we had our usual bed time routine where we chat for a while before going to sleep. This always helps me to sleep better, probably because it gives me an opportunity to wind down and stop thinking about stuff, and because I lay in the dark for a while.

One we'd settled down to sleep I fell asleep very quickly, and slept through until about 4:30am when I woke up naturally. I went back to sleep and then got up with my first alarm at 4:45am.
