Sleep Log

Saturday 21 June 2014 00:11 to 05:59

(5:47 hours)

Last night I wasn't particularly tired (which is hardly surprising given how much I'd slept yesterday) and it took me about half an hour to fall asleep. The time went pretty quickly though so I didn't mind.

I slept through the night and woke up from a dream at around 5:45am. I dozed for 15 minutes before getting up.

Jagdeep's Travels

Tags: Carlos Jagdeep

Jagdeep is someone I knew from school, who has a disability and has also suffered with some quite serious illnesses. In my dream I'm pretty sure he had something terminal, and was determined to make the most of the rest of his life.

There are four of us in a car: Jagdeep, Carlos, one other person and me. I'm pretty sure I knew who the other person was when I woke up but it's long gone now.

We are driving somewhere and talking, and the first topic of conversation is Carlos' accent. Someone is asking why his Spanish accent is stronger or weaker depending on what he is talking about, and I give some kind of explanation as Carlos is driving and trying to concentrate. I ask Carlos if he agrees and he does.

A while later Jagdeep is telling us about his travels. In my dream he lives in the United States, but is doing a trip around the UK at the moment. He's been to all sorts of places and hasn't worked for a while (due to his terminal illness) and he is explaining how he got the funding for it.

We arrive at a multi storey carpark and stop the car, and everyone gets out. I can't remember why, but Jagdeep walks off somewhere and we do whatever it is we are doing. After a while we get back in the car to leave.

"Is he coming back?" someone asks, and I say I don't know. Jagdeep had just been talking about how this part of his trip was over, and it wasn't 100% obvious if he was coming back.

We go to drive out of the carpark and then we see him so we stop and let him in.

"Where are you going next then Jagdeep?" I ask him.

"I'm going to travel around the UK for another week and then I'm off to East Asia."
