Sleep 1

23:52 to 05:06

(5:14 hours)

Last night I went to bed a little later than I probably should have, and it took me about 10 - 15 minutes to get to sleep. I set my alarm for 4:45am but this morning I was exhausted when my alarm went off!

After my alarm I went back to sleep for 20 minutes before getting up.

Sleep 2

16:11 to 17:41

(1:29 hours)

Oh my god I needed that nap!

Today at work I came over very tired from about 12:00 noon, and it probably didn't help that I met one of my Spanish friends at lunchtime for a beer. By the time I got home I felt like I could fall asleep any second, and as soon as I got into my bed I think I was asleep within 2 minutes.

Yu Lee came home at 5:40pm and she came in and woke me up. If she didn't come in I think I would have slept for a while longer. I still feel like I could do with a bit more sleep!

Sleep 3

22:54 to 05:43

(6:49 hours)

Last night we went out for dinner and I had a couple of small beers. We went to bed at about 10:30pm, and settled down to sleep just before 11:00pm. I fell asleep in minutes as I was very tired.

I slept solidly through the night until 4:00am when I woke up feeling very hot from a strange dream (although I don't remember it now). I looked at the clock and decided to go back to sleep for half an hour as it was a bit early, although I felt like I could have easily got up then. The next thing I remember is waking up at 5:30am having turned off my alarm without waking up!

I must have been tired, and it probably did me some good to get some extra sleep, but I felt pretty grim after sleeping for so long. I had a mild headache, my eyes ached and I felt really groggy all morning. When I went for my bath I found it really hard to be bothered to get out again. Now I remember why I am sleeping less at night...
