Last night Yu Lee was tired so she went to bed a little earlier than usual and I decided to go with her. I didn't feel particularly tired but once I got into bed I realised that I would be able to easily fall asleep.
I fell asleep in less than 5 minutes and slept through solidly until about 3:30. I didn't want to get up quite that early so I went back to sleep and then woke up naturally just after 4:00am and decided to get up.

I didn't sleep at all
Today I felt moderately tired at work around lunch time as usual. I had a meeting at the end of the day which overran so I was a little late taking my nap, and by this time I wasn't actually feeling that tired any more. As soon as I laid down in my bed I came over sleepy and fell asleep in about 5 minutes.
At 4:45 I suddenly woke up because I was dribbling! I tried to settle back down to sleep but it wasn't coming so in the end I marked my sleep as did not sleep. I'm pretty sure I was literally only just falling asleep when I woke up so I must have been asleep for a minute or two at most.

After a short while awake I went back to sleep and once again fell asleep very quickly. This time, for the first time in the past few days, I drifted off into a nice deep sleep.
All of a sudden just after 6:00 I woke up to my phone ringing! It was a number I didn't recognise and this is the third missed call I have had from this number this week. I feel really annoyed at leaving my phone on loud as this was the first good quality nap I've had in the whole week, and also because if I'd have fallen asleep at the usual time it wouldn't even have mattered. How frustrating!

Last night I was a bit tired as my nap was interrupted, but I didn't plan on going to bed quite so early. Yu Lee said she was tired at 9:00pm so I went to bed with her and decided that if I didn't fall asleep in 5 minutes I would get back up. I fell asleep pretty quickly so I ended up getting a very early night!
Unsurprisingly I din't sleep through to my alarm and woke up at 2:45am. I'm not sure how this is going to affect my tiredness today but I am not going to let myself get into the habit of waking up at 3am every day!
I feel extremely well rested this morning. I've seen it written a few times that every hour slept before midnight is worth 2 after midnight, and I don't think this is 100% correct but maybe there is some truth in it!
