Last night I fell asleep quickly and slept through until 4:00am this morning when I woke from a dream. At the time I could remember my dream and was thinking about what I would write here, but now that I've been to sleep again I have forgotten it completely.
When I woke up I felt wide awake, like I wouldn't be able to get back to sleep, but as usual I was back asleep in seconds!
My alarm went off at 5:00am and once again I was dreaming, but the act of jumping out of bed was enough to forget that dream too.

This was an epic nap! When I went for my nap I didn't feel that tired, and it took me a little while to fall asleep. I drifted into a light sleep after a few minutes, but opened my eyes after about half an hour before going back to sleep.
Once I'd got back to sleep, however, I was comatose! I slept deeply for another 2.5 hours before Yu Lee came in to wake me up. After that I laid there and nodded off again for another 15 minutes before getting up.
It's interesting to compare today with yesterday. Yesterday morning I felt pretty tired all morning, like I could fall asleep at any moment. When I finally did go for my nap I slept for 1.5 hours before being woken up by the phone, but then I was wide awake and couldn't have gone back to sleep.
Today I woke up and felt great all morning, and when I went for my nap I literally felt a bit tired but not particularly sleepy. Then when I did go to sleep I was asleep for ages and could have still slept longer.
I still don't understand this sleep stuff...
