Last night I fell asleep quickly, but then I woke up again at about 12:30am when I heard a crashing noise from the bathroom. I knew exactly what it was: we'd put a basket up in the shower which uses suction cups to attach to the tiles, and it had fallen down with the bottles of shampoo and conditioner we'd put in it.

After a few minutes I got back to sleep, until I was rudely awakened again at 4:20am. This time Yu Lee had rolled over and put her hand on her touch activated bedside lamp and the bright light in my face woke me up. She turned it off again and I got back to sleep again after about 5 minutes.

After that I slept through until my alarm at 5:00am.

Today for my nap I decided to try to sleep without earplugs or a face mask as an experiment. After about 2 minutes I put the mask back on but went without earplugs for the rest of the nap.

In the end I didn't sleep particularly well! I slept very lightly and every time the pedestrian crossing outside my house went off, the beep beep beeping woke me up.

This house is a lot noisier overall than my old house, but I don't mind the traffic noise at all, in fact I actually find it quite nice to listen to while I fall asleep (apart from the occasional really loud motorbike or lorry).

By the time my alarm went off I didn't actually want to get up, but I had to to take a delivery.

Last night Yu Lee wanted to go to bed at around 10:30pm, and I decided to go with her. I didn't feel that tired until I got into bed when I fell asleep almost instantly.

This morning when my alarm went off I felt pretty good so I obviously needed the extra sleep.
