Last night we had some friends over for a barbecue, and we had a pork shoulder, rainbow trout, tiger prawns and barbecued vegetables. The evening went really well but by the end I was tired, probably because I didn't really sleep at nap time.
I fell asleep very quickly and woke up to my alarm at 5:00am as usual. After turning it off I decided I deserved another hour and set my alarm for 6:00am and went back to bed, falling asleep in seconds.
When my alarm went off the second time I was dreaming. I still felt a bit tired when I got up.
I was dreaming about working at WorldPay, and we were in some kind of temporary building, like a cross between an office block and a porter cabin. There was a weird mould problem, with mould growing on the walls and the head of department was worried it was going to spread.
He called the people in charge of the building and they were going to come down, but he said it was a waste of time because they were near Oxford, and after driving all this way wouldn't be able to do anything anyway.

I felt pretty sleepy this morning, and at about 8:30am I heard Yu Lee stirring upstairs so I went up and got back into bed. I wasn't really planning on going back to sleep, but in the end it just happened!
I slept solidly until Yu Lee came in to wake me up at 11:15am. She asked if I wanted a cup of tea and I said yes, but then I drifted off again and woke up half an hour layer. Yu Lee told me she forgot about my tea and left it brewing for half an hour, so she tipped it down the sink and make me another one.

Last night I got to sleep surprisingly quickly, considering how much sleep I'd had. On the other hand I actually felt pretty tired (and grumpy) most of the day.
This morning I awoke to the alarm from a vivid dream.
This was a very vivid dream. I dreamt that there were several of us playing a game where you all draw rectangles on a sheet of gridded paper, filling in sections of the grid with different colours, and then when all of the squares on the grid are filled in you look at it and somehow you've all drawn a picture! It was incredible and I didn't understand it at the time, but that's because it doesn't make any sense at all!
The next thing that happened was that Yu Lee decided she wanted to test out the steam cleaner attachment underneath the cooker. There was a stainless steel drawer under the oven, and when she opened it what looked like a long vacuum cleaner hose with the brush attachment was inside.
When she turned it on, all of the steam started to fill the house. I went around the house opening up all of the external doors (in this dream the layout of the house was totally different: it was detached with patio doors along each of the longer sides and a garden all around). I pointed fans blowing out of the house in one direction, and into the house on the other side, in the hope that it would create a breeze through the house and blow the steam out. On my way round the house I realised we'd had an electric radiator plugged in for god knows how long in a room we don't use very much. I remember thinking that it explained the electricity bill being so big and it being hot all of the time.
