Yesterday from about 8:00pm I felt very tired, and I was even debating being in bed by 9:00pm but then I woud have either got up at 3am or slept for 8 hours, both of which would have messed up my sleeping pattern.

Once it got past 9:00pm I started to feel a little less sleepy and in the end I went to bed at the usual time of 11:00pm and fell asleep pretty much straight away. I slept through until my alarm this morning, and I could have easily slept longer but it wasn't too difficult to get up. Hopefully today I can get back into my usual sleeping pattern.

I must admit it is nice to be sleeping in my own bed again!

Today I felt a little bit sleepy this morning, but not enough to stop me getting out of bed on time. I felt sleepy on and off all day but I think this was mainly due to my messed up sleeping pattern yesterday. At lunch time I actually came home because I had nothing better to do and I looked at my bed and thought "if only I could...".

In the afternoon I perked up a little bit, but by the time I came home I was definitely ready to sleep, and when I went for my nap I fell asleep very quickly. As is quite normal for me I woke up again after 30 minutes, but I laid there for another 5 - 10 minutes and drifted back to sleep. When my alarm went off I wasn't sure if it was morning or not!

This nap was just what I needed! Hopefully it won't affect my sleep tonight, but it felt great to sleep in my own bed and have a long, uninterrupted nap and to not need to use ear plugs.

I didn't sleep at all

I went to bed at 11:30 because that was my normal bed time, but I didn't feel particularly tired. I was kind of expecting to not sleep due to my long nap after work.

When I'd been laying there for just over 20 minutes I marked the sleep as "did not sleep" and started another sleep, and said to myself that if I wasn't asleep in the next 5 minutes I would get up.

Within 5 minutes of resetting my sleep I must have fallen asleep!

I woke up naturally not long after 4am, and rested in bed until about 4:30. Does this mean that I have caught up on all of my missing sleep?

I'm going to wait and see how I feel after today's nap before I consider my sleeping pattern back to normal.

I didn't remember this dream upon waking, but a fragment of it came back to me shortly after getting up.

I dreamt that we saw Zen and he said he had a job cleaning up vomit from norovirus sufferers. It sounded like he worked in a large building, possibly the university and would get called out whenever someone vomited to clean it up and limit the spread of the infection. He told me that some people were "sick" as in "sick in the head" and would purposefully go to place to vomit where lots of people were likely to come into contact with it. He said a very common place for them to be sick was in doorways inside the building so that people would have to walk through it and possible become infected.
