Sleep 1

23:21 to 02:30

(3:09 hours)

It's official - this experiment has begun!

Considering I was only asleep for 3 hours, I had a pretty broken sleep. I woke up at 0:30 and 2:00, I think because of noises outside.

When my new vibrating alarm clock finally went off at 2:30 I was straight up! I feel pretty tired now, but as it's the first night it feels like getting up early for something like going to the airport.

Sleep 2

07:03 to 07:25

(0:22 hours)

I set my timer for 22 minutes and had my first nap.

I think I spent some of it in a half-awake, half-asleep state and I definitely dreamed. I was asleep when my timer went off and I feel somewhat refreshed - but still tired!

I was really tired beforehand and felt I could drift away immediately until about 5 minutes before I took my nap!

Sleep 3

12:16 to 12:38

(0:22 hours)

These 20 minute naps don't feel like normal sleeps! I am not sure that I fell properly asleep, or how long it took me to drift off but I was definitely asleep when the alarm went off.

I feel like I could sleep for another couple of hours though...

Sleep 4

16:56 to 17:18

(0:22 hours)

This was my last nap of the day. I found it slightly harder to sleep for this, even though I was more tired. I feel somewhat refreshed now, but not completely normal.

I'm hungry!

Sleep 5

23:26 to 02:30

(3:04 hours)

I really didn't want to wake up for that one.

I was a bit confused what was going on, as I am using my vibrating alarm clock, and I don't really remember turning it off. I could easily have slept the night through but I guess that is to be expected.

This definitely feels very unnatural - I still feel like I have got up in the middle of the night. Also my eyes are quite bloodshot and watery.
